When did you stop having your own back?
Imagine hearing a kind voice in your own head when things go wrong. Imagine trusting yourself again, and knowing that whatever happens, you've got you.
I'm ready to have my own back · €27You're the kindest person you know, to everyone but you.
- You make one small mistake and spend the whole evening calling yourself stupid in your head.
- Something lights up in you, a dream, a little “what if”, and before you've said it out loud a voice answers: “Who do you think you are?”
- Your friend has a hard day and you're the warmest person in the world. You have a hard day and you're the harshest.
- Something goes wrong, and the first person you turn against is you.
This is what giving up on yourself really looks like. It happens in small moments, every single day, in the way you talk to yourself.
Somewhere along the way, you learned to be against yourself.
That voice isn't cruel exactly. It thinks it's protecting you. It keeps a detailed file of every time you were disappointed in yourself, and it pulls it out the second you want something more.
The times you came through are in there too, the moments you were brave and the days you kept going. Nobody ever reads that file out loud. So you believe the first one, and you've heard the voice so often that it started to sound like you.
I want to say something plainly here. There is no stamp anywhere that says you are unworthy. You don't have it in your passport or on your forehead. It's a thought your mind has had so many times it started to feel like the truth.
You never had your own back for long enough. That's what changes now.
Imagine being on your own team.
It's 4pm, the day went sideways, and the old voice is ready to write the summary. This time you put a hand on your chest and say, “Today was hard. I've got you.” And you mean it.
You open your Evidence Bank and read, in your own words, everything you've already handled. You believe it, because it happened. That's what trust in yourself feels like.
Something lights up in you, and this time you let yourself say it out loud. No shrinking it first. You simply ask, “What do I need to do, and who do I need to become?”
You fall, and you don't leave yourself. You pick yourself up the next morning, gently, the way you would for someone you love.
The 21 days end. The way you are with yourself can stay for the rest of your life.
Being there for yourself is a practice, and you can learn it again.
You've already tried understanding yourself and healing one more thing. They both have their place. What changes you is practising, a few minutes a day, the two things that change everything: talking to yourself like someone who's on your team, and collecting real proof of who you are.
“That's not an affirmation, that's awareness.”
Whatever you practise becomes a habit, and a habit slowly becomes your natural way of being. There's no streak to protect and nothing to win. Missing a day is part of the practice too.

Hi, I'm Nikoleta.
For more than fifteen years I've explored consciousness, spirituality and personal growth. My work begins where endless analysis ends. I help people turn awareness into life.
These 21 days come straight from the way I guide people in real life, with the same questions and the same practice. I've got your back, and I'll guide you day by day.
Before you decide
Is this a 21 day challenge?
It's a practice, with no streak to protect and nothing to win. For 21 days you practise being there for yourself, and missing a day is part of it. You simply come back to you.
I've done so much work on myself. Why would this help?
Because this works on the relationship you have with yourself in ordinary moments: the way you speak to yourself when something goes wrong, and what you remember about who you are. Understanding helps, and practising is what makes it yours.
How much time does it take?
A few minutes a day. On busy days, one honest line counts.
When do I get access?
Right after checkout. Day one can be tonight.
Do I need an app?
No. Everything opens in your browser, on your phone or your laptop. Your answers stay private on your device, and you can download them or print your Evidence Bank whenever you like.
Is this therapy?
No. It's a gentle daily practice. If you're going through something heavy, please look after yourself and reach out to a professional as well.
You have two choices tonight.
Close this page and keep being your own harshest critic, hoping one day it gets easier.
Start tonight and learn to have your own back, one kind, honest day at a time.
P.S. If a voice in you is saying “this won't work for me”... I know that voice. It's exactly the one we're practising with. Day one only asks for a few minutes and one honest answer.
With love, Nikoleta
